PDP hoists flags for inauguration, lowers APC’s
Few minutes after the Supreme Court declared the unelectability of the Candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC, David Lyon, the PDP has rehoisted its flags it had lowered.
The PDP had lowered it flags ahead of tomorrow’s inauguration of Lyon as it came second in the governorship election.
Instead, APC flags took over for the first time in as many years.
But no sooner had the five man panel of the apex court led by Justice Rose Odili had ruled that, the Running mate to the APC’s Candidate had lied under oath in fallacious filling of his form to INEC, the PDP reordered it flag with frenzy activities taking place already to inaugurate its candidate who’s now the winner, Mr Senator Douye Dir.
Dir would now be inaugurated tomorrow. An aid to now governor-elect told Daily Mail in Abuja that Mr Dir would waste no time but “fly on charted plane to Bayelsa few hours from now.
“We don’t care about the preparation, we just want him to take his position – the position meant for the PDP.
PDP is Bayelsa, Bayelsa is PDP,” he boomed.
Already there’s confusion in Bayelsa as preparation for the inauguration of Lyon reached fever pitch and all but concluded for his stepping in to the podium tomorrow.
