Odion Ighalo played just five minutes for his new club, Manchester United in their game against Chelsea in Stamford bridge.

He came on as a second half substitute for Anthony Martial for his victorious side, and almost scored with a through ball but the keeper saved.

Goals on either half of the game gave Manchester United deserved victory of two nil at Stamford bridge to close  the gap on the last Champions league qualification to three.

Anthony Martial gave United the lead with a masterful finish with a header before another bullet header by Harry Maguire saw the Red Devils leave London with all three points.

Maguire would have been sent off for a studlike tackle on Mitchy Batshuayi but a Video Assistant Referee, VAR and the Central referee did not deem it red.

Kurt Zuoma had a goal chalked off for pushing a United defender.

And on the 77th minutes, another goal, a header again, from Olivier Giroud was ruled out for marginal offside after VAR review leaving Chelsea Coach, Frank Lampard seething and fuming on the touch line.

Soon after the second goal was chalked off, Chelsea fans started leaving in their droves.

Both teams have been having indifferent forms.

United who with victory over their top three contenders are three points behind Chelsea after sparing their blushes after.
