The alleged killer of a footballer, Tiyamiyu Kazeem, who was nicknamed ‘Kaka’ has been revealed to be a celebrity member of the dreaded Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS.
According to many posts on social media, the officer, Oyota, as he is popularly called, drove special plate number, written ‘Oyota’ and donned jewellery even on his uniform.
It has also been alleged that the officer was “notorious for scouting perceived internet fraud operators, also known as ‘yahoo boys’ in order to obtain money from them.”
While internet fraudster was his main target, it was added that he engaged in dirty practices such that he is “a super rich officer,” known for playing bad corps without fear.
He has also reportedly made affluence from the alleged notoriety another source said.
According to sources, “Oyato does not act alone. He reportedly has a squad that goes about to harass young persons with sole target of extorting
“Oyato has fleet of cars, some of which are branded specially in number plates bearing his name.”
He ha been accused of killing the footballer when “angrily forced Kaka out of the moving vehicle, ramming him into another oncoming vehicle because Kaka had identified himself as a footballer but not a ‘yahoo boy’.
The protest that rocked Ogun State on Monday following the death of the footballer led to the deaths of not less than three protesters while many people were injured.
The police deployed to disperse the protesters were accused of shooting love ammunition at the protesters.
Unconfirmed report say a police officer was among the dead.
