No Hilux was seized by terrorists in the North East – Nigerian Army

The Nigerian Army has dispelled rumour making the rounds that about 40 hilux trucks belonging to the Nigerian Military were few days ago seized by the terrorist group, Boko Haram.
It was alleged the trucks were seized along Bauchi road without specific location of the state.
But when contacted, the acting Spokesperson for the Army, Sagir Musa told Daily Mail it’s fake news.
He said it’s “fake news, mischievous news” and urged members of the public to disregard such news.
According to news making the rounds on social media, “Boko Haram Seized New 40 Hilux Pickup Bought By Nigeria Army On Thier Way To Delivery Along Bauchi Road. No wonder Buratai went to northeast,” one posted with over 40 likes of the comment few days ago on Facebook.
Recalled the Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai last week relocated to the North East, epicentre of the insurgent groups, to oversee the war on terror where he fetes with the troops.
Daily Mail reports that Boko Haram has been waging war for a decade now in the Nigerian North East and around the Lake Chad that includes Chad, Niger Republic and Cameroon.
